Driving in St Asaph, and what it means for your tyres
The A55 runs past St Asaph at junction 27 and carries traffic along the whole North Wales coast, from Chester to Holyhead. It is fast, busy with ferry traffic and exposed to wind off the Irish Sea, and a lot of local drivers use it every day to commute to Deeside, Chester or Llandudno.
St Asaph Business Park, on the edge of the city, is home to a lot of technology and engineering firms, and its car parks are a convenient place for a fitter to work while you do. The city itself is small, with the A525 running down the vale to Denbigh and Ruthin.
Most residential roads in Wales now have a 20mph default limit. Head into the Clwydian Range to the east, a protected landscape of hills, and the lanes become steep and winding, with snow and ice on the higher ground in winter. There is no Clean Air Zone charge.
Mobile tyre fitting in St Asaph
Most homes around St Asaph have drives or space to park, and the business park has large car parks a fitter can use with permission. Choose your spot, add any access notes, and the fitter brings your tyres, fits and balances them where the car sits and takes the old ones away.
