Driving in Stirling, and what it means for your tyres
The M9 and the M80 meet just south of Stirling, linking it with Edinburgh and Glasgow, and the A84 heads north west into the Trossachs. Many residents commute to the central belt, so their cars cover a lot of motorway miles.
The Old Town climbs a steep, cobbled hill to the castle, and roads like St John Street and Broad Street are hard on front tyres and slippery in the wet. Around the city, roads into the hills towards Callander and Aberfoyle are winding and can be icy in winter.
Stirling has no Low Emission Zone charge. The A84 and A85 are the routes to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and get very busy on summer weekends.
Mobile tyre fitting in Stirling
Most Stirling homes have drives or quiet streets, and the university and business parks at Springkerse and Castle have car parks a fitter can use with permission. Choose your spot, and the fitter brings your tyres, fits and balances them by the car and takes the old ones away.

If you would rather visit a garage, workshops on the network around Stirling list their distance and their fitted price before you book. A workshop is the right place for alignment.
