Driving in Dundee, and what it means for your tyres
Most traffic around Dundee uses the Kingsway, the A90 ring road that runs across the north of the city between Perth and Aberdeen, with roundabouts and lights at almost every junction. Stop-start driving like that is where front tyres wear fastest.
Dundee's Low Emission Zone covers the city centre and applies to private cars, so a non-compliant vehicle is fined for driving in. The streets climbing from the waterfront to the Hilltown and the Law are steep, and in winter they can be icy.
Wind off the Tay and the North Sea makes Dundee cold in winter, and the Tay Road Bridge can be restricted in high winds. Good tread and correct pressures help keep the car stable in those conditions.
Mobile tyre fitting in Dundee
Many Dundee homes are tenement flats or terraces, while Broughty Ferry and the west of the city have plenty of drives. Business parks along the Kingsway and at Technology Park have car parks a fitter can use with permission. Choose your spot, and the fitter brings your tyres, fits and balances them and takes the old ones away.

If you would rather take the car in, workshops on the network around Dundee list their distance and their fitted price before you book. A workshop is the right place for alignment.
