What they can help with
Roadside assistance
A flat battery, a jump start, a lockout, the wrong fuel, or a fault somebody can put right where the car is standing.
Tires at the roadside
A flat or a blowout, repaired or replaced where you are, including vehicles with no spare.
Recovery and towing
When the car cannot be driven, a recovery truck takes it to a garage, your home, or wherever you need it.
And if nobody is on call?
It happens, usually late at night. Rather than leave you with nothing, we show a short list of other local recovery firms we have found ourselves. They are not part of Requex and we have not checked them, and we say so plainly on the screen, but a number to ring beats a dead end.
Common questions
- Do I need a roadside plan to use this?
- No. This is not a membership and there is nothing to buy from us. You are being shown local businesses who are taking callouts, and you pay whoever you choose directly for the work they do.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing to search. The business you call sets its own price for the callout and the work, and you agree that with them before anything starts.
- Does it work at night?
- Yes, where businesses are on call. Each one sets its own hours per location, so who appears at three in the morning is different from who appears at lunchtime.
- What if I have broken down on a highway?
- Get yourself somewhere safe first, behind a barrier and away from the traffic lanes, and call 911 if you cannot. Search for help once you are safe.
- Can I use it away from home?
- Yes. It works from wherever the car has stopped, not from where you live, so a breakdown on a trip finds help local to the breakdown.
